Plot Summary (Yes, Really)
Galentine’s Day is celebrated the day before Valentine’s Day because it is not about romance.
It is about women.
It is about gathering your female friends, feeding them well, pouring them drinks, and reminding them — explicitly — that their presence in your life matters.
This year at The Jasmine Bar, Galentine’s Day unfolds over two nights, because one night was not sufficient to honor friendship with the seriousness and joy it deserves.
Like Leslie Knope’s annual Galentine’s party, this evening is equal parts indulgent, emotional, celebratory, and deeply intentional. There is food. There are drinks. There are stories. There is laughter. There is absolutely no pressure to perform romance for anyone.
The Experience
You arrive and are immediately handed a glass of rosé champagne because that is how Galentine’s begins. There is no small talk phase. There is no awkward warm-up. You are already home.
You sit down with your people — the women who have watched you make questionable choices, who helped you recover from them, and who stayed anyway. This is not a night for tourists. This is for the people who actually live in your life.
A shared, prix fixe menu is served, because Galentine’s is not about restraint. It is about abundance. There are mini pancakes with crème fraîche and caviar because breakfast food is emotional and luxurious, and Leslie Knope would insist on both. There is charcuterie because it encourages conversation. There is dessert because endings should be sweet.
Each guest receives one specialty Galentine’s cocktail, included with the experience. Additional cocktails are available if the night unfolds the way it often does — organically, honestly, and maybe a little longer than planned.
The pacing is intentional. No rushing. No flipping tables. This is not a night to check your watch.

Why This Matters
In the episode, Leslie learns that not every story needs to be forced into a romantic ending. Some stories are about knowing when to protect your people. Some stories are about recognizing tourists and choosing sincerity instead. Some stories are about breaking up with irony and choosing something real.
Galentine’s Day exists to honor those stories.
At The Jasmine Bar, Galentine’s is not treated as a novelty or a theme. It is treated as a ritual — one night set aside to say, clearly and without embarrassment:
“I’m glad you’re in my life.”
And then to toast to it.
